Police are looking for a male who attempted to rob a fast-food restaurant in Moanalua.
At about 2:40 a.m. Wednesday, the robber clad in a jacket and mask walked up to the drive-thru window at a Jack in the Box, brandished a handgun and demanded money from an employee, police said.
Police were called and the robber fled before officers arrived. No injuries were reported and nothing was taken.
A week ago, a male robbed the Jack in the Box at Stadium Mall, about two miles away from Moanalua, in a similar fashion. Just after 2:50 a.m. June 28, the culprit dressed in a long-sleeved, hooded sweatshirt walked up to the drive-thru window and waved what appeared to be a rifle at an employee.
Police said he fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.
No arrests have been made in the Stadium Mall robbery.
It’s unknown at this time whether both robberies involve the same perpetrator.
